Never trust anyone rocking Ed Hardy and a goatee.
Never trust anyone rocking Ed Hardy and a goatee.
Uh, is this coming from the generation who shouted the phrase “don’t trust anyone over 30"?
OCTOBER SURPRISE
I love it, too, and it has really helped me save a lot of money this year. I don’t like how it can be buggy, though. Once or twice a month, it loses connectivity with my bank.
It’s not layered. It has characters, set pieces and action. Nothing is explored past the cursory. We get an idea of the women’s roles in that tribe are, but that’s it.
It loks like you deleted my comment, so I’ll say it again: your reading comprehension is not great. I was asked what Lynch films, regardless of when they were made, are better. I gave a straight-forward answer.
Some people aren’t reading the thread. Or it they are, their reading comprehension is not great.
JESUS CHRIST
Ok, yeah, no. I’m not listening to someone who points to a hulk smash link.
Am I the only one who wished the car would flip and then blow up, 80s Chuck Norris Movie Style?

That’s funny - I thought they were both reviewed accurately upon release. Nobody seemed to really like ILD, but nobody hated it. I felt the same. GB was one of those cutesy, squee Wes Anderson jobs that did what it was supposed to do to its target audience.
If someone wants to think Mulholland Drive should be on that list, I wouldn’t argue. But for it to be number one? That’s crazy. Definitely somewhere in the top 100, but it’s placement should be far from the top spot.
I agree - one of the better movies of this decade.

Life Aquatic has loads of problems, but it has a lot of good intentions and some amazing location shoots and set design. Bill Murray does a great job, but the supporting players are really nothing more than cartoon characters.
The big problem with Inland Empire is that it’s really lazy. It’s not that it’s out there. Out there, I like. That’s why I continue to dip into the David Lynch well. But what I don’t like is someone just presenting something because it’s their brand. And that’s exactly what Empire felt like. “Here I am, David Lynch,…
I am not going to try and tell you Mad Max wasn’t great. It was great. It was fun, fast paced, I liked Charlize Theron. I think Max was in there somewhere, but that’s debatable.
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen the movie, but the one part that really sticks out in my mind is when they’re in the taxi. It goes from night to dawn, then night again. Then there is a part where the sun is clearly rising, then it’s back to pitch night again.
