Matt Berry is too good for this show, and is basically a wasted talent here.
It doesn’t work. Especially when American companies have much of their production in China, rely on imports of Chinese materials or exporting their products there.
There may be a difference between protectionism and antagonism.
I should note that the general consensus among economists is that protectionism has historically had a negative impacts on economic growth, and is probably among the causes of economic collapses like the great depression.
