There’s plenty of people who take out loans and don’t pay them back. One of them is the president. That’s the risk of making a loan. The idea that lenders should assume no risk but yet lend out astronomical amounts of money is completely bonkers.

Hate to break it to you but the professional barriers put up by Baby Boomers did not exist when they were coming up. They put those up to protect their jobs and then run around yelling at younger generations who need have to have a high school degree to be a janitor or a Master’s degree to get paid $40,000/year.

An eternal viewing loop. Those goddamn geniuses.

I put OINTB in the same realm as the US version of Shameless: Who is still invested in this right now?

Because of that criteria, I don’t think it is. And quite honestly, due to the availability of loans and the astronomical amounts that they are willing to give out, colleges feel no need to reign in the costs of their tuition. They’re doing this to themselves and deserve what they get if they don’t get paid back.

Hm. Seems like if they really wanted to help they would leak the contents of that cloud server.

I wish I was crazy rich so I could marry with no forethought, have a great party, get a lot of gifts, then divorce to do it all over again. What a life!

Hopefully darting eye contact and mumbling is written into the script

I didn’t realize one of the Angels was low energy and ironic. That’s why we cast Kristen Stewart, right?

Why do lenders need to be protected, exactly? They dictate the terms of the loan and they’ve effectively made it the hardest debt to ever erase.

goddamn that’s still gold

I’ve always thought of classical music composition as a conversation between instrument types. Even with a single instrument like a piano or organ, you can think of it like a single person recapping a conversation, imitating voices you would normally hear in a larger context.

Holy shit Otoboke Beaver is fucking incredible

Care to share which ones?

Here’s a fun myth: giving money to rich people means poor people get more money.

Got any artists to listen to?

Is this a lost intro to an episode of Six Feet Under?

Not a surprise that Dan Proft had a hand in this one. He’s edging himself to be more powerful than the Ricketts family with Illinois Policy Institute.

When are people going to get that they will never, ever answer a question on its merits? They will always deflect and deny. There is no rational discourse here. They aren’t interested.

If we even remotely gave the same level of fuck for people who held public office as we do a guy who may/may not have given a kid a baseball, we’d be a better country.
