This whole article is cringey, mean spirited and poorly informed. You don’t need to “hope” that they froze rent. You can read the article written by one of your colleagues which explicitly says they did.

The hysterical policing of another woman’s hair choices is a good exemplar of why no one takes progressives seriously.

Because Adam Carolla is an even bigger dick.

The issues former employees spoke about goes beyond Ellen’s behaviour. Some of her producers were accused of rampant sexual misconduct and racism. So, yeah, for her to joke about this on air is pretty gross.

However I don’t think it’s fair for people to expect her to be overly kind all the time. Doing a show like this and having to interact with hundreds of guests a year must be exhausting.

People work service jobs 40+ hours a week to make ends meet. This includes dealing with hundreds of people per DAY. These people (including myself) STILL are capable of being personable to those they don’t know and those they work with.

Ellen is just another person who amassed tremendous wealth, fame, and power and then stopped understanding what it means to be a normal person.  So, of course her apology sucked, she does not really think she did anything wrong.
