Can’t say I disagree with her. That’s not her job and there’s a whole industry whose job it *is*. 

And the thing is, not every actor CAN do that stuff. Keanu does a lot of cool stuff in his action movies, but he’s also well-noted for training like a madman for months on end for that.

I think Olsen is mostly right, and it has the added benefit of creating/sustaining jobs for a lot of hardworking folks who only receive a fraction of the pay that the stars get.

It just feels a grim slog - a churning out of another anti-hero asshole with the belief that it is some trenchant commentary on the modern situation. It isn’t, it’s just another asshole character with no redeeming value and little to say other than what you can hear from the ‘well, actually’ trolls online.

no need to suspect it, if they had ANY plans to walk back that HUGE part of the online outcry, they would certainly have done so, loudly and with fireworks.

This response also doesn’t say anywhere that they’re going to listen or act on any feedback. Just take it and do whatever.

It’s still just a lot of nothing that WotC is saying. They aren’t actually committing to anything.

Maybe it’s because I worked on too many public inquiry and public consultation before, but I’m cynical that this won’t just be an empty performance.

I would be melting at 72F. Out of curiosity, where do you live? In the winter I prefer 65F but I’m married so my husband sets it at 68F and I accept it to keep the peace. At night he steals the covers from me and I’ve learned to be comfortable sleeping in cooler temperatures with limited resources.
