This has nothing to do with “games as a service.” If it were a bunch of Anthem/Destiny-style games, I could see it, but this is just a different way for you to pay to play games. It’s like having Netflix versus buying a TV show on DVD.

Twitch is what it is, but esports isn’t wholly dependent on or tied to it, as evidenced by yesterday’s broadcast on Disney XD of both games bookending the currently less popular Tekken. Earlier in the year ESPN broadcast SFV, as well.

YES! That game deserves so much more love than it’s gotten. Definitely a Top 10 game for me.
