Sorry, couldn't resist. I do agree with you. I do think this copy is an asshole.
It is part of an officer's sworn duty to protect their community. Even someone seeing the story the way you do, it should still be very clear that a tazer to the stomach as well as forcing a pregnant woman to lay on her belly, even if she "fell" that way, is completely unethical and a direct violation of that duty.
