Looks like it’s sporting some Michelin Pilot Sport of sorts.

I would say these two parts of Hyundai Canada’s statement could easily insinuate he exceeded the rev limiter:
“the engine experienced conditions exceeding its designed operational limits, resulting in significant mechanical failure. These findings point to excessive engine revving...”
By granny shifting. Not double clutching like he should.
Missing a shift will absolutely do it
As they should. Overrevving is 100% user error. Hitting redline is the engine’s method of preventing overrevving. Mechanical overrev is what happened with this car, apparently multiple times. One can mechanically overrev their engine without experiencing immediate catastrophic failure, also knows as a money shift.…
Where is this town where you can drive for an hour doing 2 second 0-60 runs at every red light without a) getting pulled over and/or b) running clean into the back of the car in front when they change lanes without looking?

When BMW first released the N54 engine, they were able to make it only a few hotlaps around the track before overheating and going into limp mode. So it definitely happens with ICEs too, even the best ones.
No, it shouldn’t. It’s the industry standard. Every 0-60 test since drag strips were invented have used rollout.
That is ridiculously untrue, but also not something anyone needs anyway.
Well... I think an actual 240Z would be much more expensive than this... it’s almost like I’d be saving money.
They’re saying that until the state law has language in it that specifically says they can’t enforce the pickup rule (even though it already does), they’re going to continue to enforce it. They’re being stubborn and petty.
“Basically, the HOA is saying that the state law lacks the language that would enforce them to not enact the pickup rule against the residents and until the law contains that language, there isn’t much that residents of The Meadows can do.”
Some residents have taken to parking their trucks in a pay lot over half a mile from the neighborhood,
Except dealers were charging 200K markups and people were paying them.
A tale as old as time
Save money with this easy tip: CRIME
Yes, this time around, the board made videos and adverts supporting the move to pay Musk. So they didn’t even try an adversarial role as they are obligated to take in cases like this. Instead, they doubled down on the cult member behaviour.
Why do the EVs not have a clean 75 kwh = full, and 37.5 kwh = 50% is beyond me.
The issue with all of these is flawed data. From my understanding (please correct me if I am wrong) the data is pulled from the projected mileage at % SoC. IE 300 miles @ 100%, 280 miles @ 90%, etc. However, the BMS reserves a portion for thermal management. As the temp of the HV battery or exterior climate change,…
