Rumors suggest that the 7th gen will have...

I still love the orange.

I don’t know about that. I had someone come up to me this morning and compliment me on my Chevy SS of the same color (Ignition Orange).

This is not a type R, this is a type S and is following the same model logic as the EP3/DC5 Civic and Integra. Base integra = civic SI, integra-S = Civic R, integra R = a step above that. That was the structure they went to when the market for sport compacts started to fall off and they needed to condense the lineup

This was pretty clearly going to be the move from day one, but I’m just as happy to see it either way. Anyone who says “this is just a dressed up civic R!” was probably born after 2000 and does not understand what the original Integra actually was.

TL;DR? Let me make it simple. “I’m special and the rules don’t apply because I found a term that makes me sound special "

Huge EV with massive battery (because they will be massive) drive me crazy. Yeah save the planet.

So true.  My least favorite aspect of the car is trunk space or lack of trunk space.

Meh it is the same engine and the corvette covers look better.  It's an engine swap anyways so why not

If heated seats are installed in my car, but I need to pay a subscription fee to access the feature installed in my car, then I will not be purchasing that car.

The Subscription/Features business model is the work of the devil.

I’m willing to bet it was more of a focus-group problem. Truck manufacturers have had a lot of trouble killing off V8s in place of smaller engines that perform better. Why? Insecure men who need the rumble of a V8.

I also have the Fusion Energi and love it, but if I could get double the range, I’d love it even more.

Completely agree. I just find it funny that in the early 1900's that exact argument applied to petrol. Most cars were electric and petrol could only be bought in small cans from pharmacies. Though obviously cars back then were more play things for the wealthy and not something society was built around.

Yep, charging speed matters, but availability matters just as much or more. Cell phones are a perfect example, battery life keeps getting worse, but people don’t care as much as they should because wireless chargers, USB ports, and portable battery packs are ubiquitous.

Mass EV adoption has really never been about literal range anxiety, but the perception of it. Just like most car purchases are not entirely rational. It’s the biggest piece of the puzzle that everyone seems to be ignoring, in my oinion. How do you convince people to buy something that they don’t want, even when it

I’ve seen enough wrecks on dry asphalt to offer a simplification:

Yep, keep ‘em digging. Mash that go pedal. Shit, my old driveway was longer and steeper than that road, I never had a problem getting up it. Deep snow up the drive? Right tires (this is important), 4 low, hit the go pedal, hold those revs, and don’t let up until you hit the crest.

Some people have no idea how to drive on anything other than dry asphalt.

Same with the Model Y, four wheel drive, at least if you get on the accelerator gas you give yourself a chance.
