Why do we need to convert all power over to solar? Yes we need to get rid of coal and other polluting sources, but the PNW gets a lot of its power from hydro and wind. No need to replace that.

Good call, kill all the humans as that is the only way to get rid of the pollutants!

please elaborate your point.

So again, point to where I said “work toward getting the world 100% swapped to EVS and no fossil fuels consumed for any reason what-so-ever

It doesn’t need to be a new dam. Nevada started using Lake mead as a giant battery years ago. During the day, the solar farms power pumps to move the water back into the dam. At night, they release that water to generate electricity. There are utilities have build revivors at the top of a hill, and a pond at the

Please highlight where I said we have to go 100% EV and move completely away from fossil fuels? I for one drive an EV, but will keep my ICE track car for as long as I am able. There isn’t a 1 size fits all solution, vehicles are tools and people need to do a better job of picking the tool for the job.

Your right, I didn’t look up the quote, just based it on memory. The point is the same though, just because a solution doesn’t solve every problem, doesn’t mean it should be completely rejected.

Exactly, do you want to keep mining coal and drilling for oil, or work toward getting the world swapped over to EVs and home solar grids. As the saying goes “dont let best get in the way of better”

Yeah I don’t understand the people “I want to buy this 60k truck, but cant afford the 1500 to add a 220v outlet in my garage for the charger cord”.

I love on Fuelly the first tanks “Miles drive:980, Gallons: 9.750 ERROR ERROR YOUR MILES DRIVEN IS TO FAR!!!” it only took a year or two before they fixed their program to know it was a PHEV.

Remember this is usable battery, so packs are actually larger. Based on what we have heard so far, people believe Ford is “under-promising but will over-deliver”. It wont be by much, but compared to Tesla when they say “315 mile range” but your lucky to actually go 260 miles, Ford is working really hard to give

Which is why people focus on range so they dont need to use public charging. I drive an Energi with 18 miles electric range. 90+% of the time I am EV only, but I have a gas motor for the rest of the time. Even with half the efficiency of the lighting compared to the Energi, total cost of ownership is still cheaper

Slush box is bad enough, but taking a picture over the top of all the donuts you were just doing showing us that you totally abuse the car, yeah crack pipe...

Yeah leaks are much easier, picture from under side...which it almost certainly has. My car with regular visits to reputable Porsche shop still had leaks. This age/mileage of car just has to many things that can leak, without pulling the motor and replacing every seal...

You cant just “pop the hood” and see the motor. You either need to go under the car, or the whole process to get the engine cover off, which involves partially lowering the top, un-hooking the top, then flipping the top out of the way, THEN un-doing all the fasteners to hold the engine cover in place... The motor is

Yeah, some tricky stuff, but compared to a Miata not terrible. I bought mine to play with and flip. I had my fun, learned a lot, and made some money for other projects. But it definitely planted the seed of “I will buy another Porsche at some point”

Just about exactly 1 year ago, I dipped my toe into the Porsche Boxster world. I saw a cheap one a couple of states over, to good of a deal to pass up. I was able to confirm it had the IMS bearing replaced from the shop that did the work, and was able to give me some history on the car (all shop records from last 8

Having owned a Miata, and convinced 3x friends to buy Miatas I can say I am a Miata fan. But, they are not the most comfortable car for more then 30-60 minutes at a time, nor are they all that powerful. Enter the Boxster. They drive like a Miata (quick/nimble) but with 80% more power. These early ones are shockingly

The local circle track had a claimer class, anyone could drop $500 and buy any car on the track (minus belts/battery). So at the age of 15 my dad bought me one, built his own, and my bother built a Chevette (terrible idea, ended up claiming another Pinto). It was a great 3-4 summers of running around the state racing

Yes, totally ready for it to be a joke, but my affinity for Pinto’s could not sit idle by just in case. ;-)
