Sorry fell asleep looking at your silver car... ;-)

Looks so good right!
Since silver is only for people un-willing to commit to such extremes as White or Black, and so only old boring people pick it... wouldn’t Silver be the evil one, and Gray is the hero coming to save the world?
And like my original point, 99% of people wont even make an attempt to sear, so a smoker bbq will just help them cook a steak without turning it into a lump of coal.

Look for interior parts on ANY 90 car, Interior parts for a 1990 Olds 88... not going to find them. So it has nothing to do with them being Corvette parts as the reason they are expensive, the fact that its a corvette means that locating them at all is even an option.
I use to be one of those guys, constantly sorting through CL. But lately, its easier to go on FB marketplace and scroll around (since I am generally not looking for something specific). I have seen a major reduction in CL around here (major metropolitan area), so suspect this will greatly put a dent in the listings on…
Thats an old adage, but just isn’t true. I have had 2x of these cars, and parts have been cheap and redily avaliable, something you cant say for say about other 30 y/o cars. Nothing is at the “parts counter” besides common tune up stuff, so most things are ordered online. Since its just a SBC motor, parts cross over…
Thanks for the info! I will say that the Urano Gray is MUCH darker though, or at least in my mind taking it from a medium gray into a dark gray. The Pure gray in the GLI is almost tempting, but can’t get over sedan vs hatch....
Wait, VW is making Battle Ship Gray GTI’s?
SMOKE ALL DA MEATS!

?!?! Thats like saying you can’t properly drive a car unless its a manual, and you heal and toe on every shift. 99% of people cant drive, just like 99% of people can’t properly cook a steak. A traeger is like an automatic, for 99% of people, their results are going to be WAY better with it, then without it.

If you look at that guys build, you can see he used like 1.25" tubing, and betting real thin wall. He made the “cage” look cool, but there was no triangulation or proper cage design in his build. SO he cut all the strength out and didnt add any of it back in with his “exoskeleton”.
I came to yell at you for not including a Traeger or other smoker BBQ, but was pleasantly surprised YOU had picked one, good job. As a Traeger owner, I can say that these BBQs don’t just smoke, they can be used for all normal BBQ’ing duty (well besides overcooking your meat as thats REALLY tough to do), and function…

Yeah im not including maintenance costs, but 1 set of tires, and 2 oil changes (done myself) doesn’t add to much, $450/50k miles so $0.009 per mile. If he really want a number, you would add in insurance and depreciation, fuel cost becomes noise at that point. Owning cars is expensive.
Hmm, Im $0.047 per mile with my Fusion Energi. Its only so high because I do at least 1 longer trip (1-2k miles) per year using gas only, not sure how the Tesla would be 8-12 cents. 50k miles so far.
I only see improvements, its not like you can do anything to make a Prius worse...
Back in HS (pre cell phone days) I was driving home with a friend, in my dads 76 VW Bug. We were nearing the local little airport (surrounded by farmers fields) when a mile or so in front of us a C3 corvette pulled out from the side of the country road. No big deal he was a long ways down the road. Then all of a…
My experience in a 92 Corvette and a 94 Corvette, the cruise control mechanism is faulty, so when going WOT, randomly the Cruise control would lock the throttle into WOT (not activating the CC, just having it in the ON position). This of course always happened on twisty road sections. Turn the key off, while trying to…
compression ignition, turning the key off won’t necessarily stop the engine from running, and will lock the steering column (if you turn past the accessory point).
