Yeah, Sony’s been making head mounted displays for years. That figure of 104" would be qualified with a distance. For example one of their headsets from 2011 would have been the equivalent of 150 inches at 12 feet or the more ridiculous 750 inches at 65 feet.

I don’t think any consumer VR products are made for walking, but it’s just natural behavior to walk around. When you’re basically blindfolded to reality you might end up taking steps without realizing it. For seated games, space obviously shouldn’t be an issue.

Admittedly, I don’t really know the Japanese TV market at all, but I’d safely bet that there aren’t many TVs being sold there with a resolution less than a budget 4.5" smartphone

I was thinking exactly the opposite. Moving around blindly while swinging your arms seems like a bad idea for a small place. A giant TV only takes up wall space. Anything that doesn’t require standing is probably great though.

The XDA Labs app has been driving me crazy. Anytime I click a link to the XDA forums it opens in the app and then gives some error about not being able to find the thread. Other than that it’s pretty good.

Sorry GM, that Aluminum Man bit was pretty much offensive in every possible way. I’ve been over the focus test commercial since the first one, but this one is so bad I’d be surprised if it’s not actually scripted by marketing geniuses that couldn’t pick out a nerd at comic-con.

Even with USB-C being superior in many ways to Lightning, there is almost no chance that Apple will drop Lightning anytime soon. And with the majority of MacBook owners also being iPhone owners, it only adds to the argument that the MB should have had a lightning port. With it being slimmer than USB-C it could have

This is the thing I hate about lightning chargers. For such a great design, it’s frustratingly only used for charging iStuffs and maybe a few other things. Apple didn’t even use it for the one port MacBook!

Are any of those English words? Are they all even words?

It looks like others already suggested Google Music, which doesn’t need iTunes but still needs a computer. Other cloud based options would be dropbox or Amazon cloud player.

Do you mean avoid using iTunes at all, including on the computer to load music files to the iPhone?

Yep, this is definitely better.

I hate bottled water, but if I need to buy a bottle of water I try to get glass ones, like Voss. Yeah, it’s a little more expensive, but I reuse the shit out of those bottles.

I’m really not sure how sandboxing works in Android, but I’m pretty sure that apps like Tasker use more than the provided APIs. Especially since Tasker can run shell scripts to execute commands in the system and other apps. Tasker can also read and write data to any folder, including system folders if rooted. These

First, the Republican playbook basically consists of punching down, it’s just that the ones that make it to the national stage are usually a little more subtle about it.

They sandbox in wildly different ways. For example on Android, Tasker can control system functions, app functions, and allow other apps to plug in to Tasker. Granted, every version of Android seems to get a little more restrictive, but so far they still haven’t locked down as much as iOS since Android started out as a

The UI is great, live tiles are one of my favorite features of any mobile platform and Cortana is just as good as any of the competitors.

I have only tested up to 8.1 so 10 may be a significant improvement.
