Android N might get a similar feature, it’s in the dev preview.

If you’re rooted check out cf.lumen. I haven’t tried f.lux yet, but cf has been actively supporting the app for years and it works great. Combining it with Lux makes it a real powerful duo, but the cf.lumen driver is the key player.

Overlay apps have security implications, so when they are running you can’t install apps or approve other security dialogs. Often you will need to deactivate the overlay and reboot to bypass those issues. But if you’re not running root it’s good that it has to run that way.

How and when did Google block f.lux from doing anything? There are many similar apps that have been around for years. CM7, circa 2011, had the feature built in. CF.lumen has also been around since late 2011. f.lux could have released their app on Android as a root app anytime but they chose not to. There have been

Definitely an interesting option, especially for very low data usage. I like that they charge by data and not monthly. Probably a great option for tablets or other secondary devices like the Gear s2.

I’ve never really been a big fan of the 7 series, except the e38, but really the only thing that really bugs me is the Star Trek TNG font under the hood

I haven’t spent that much time in GTA IV, so I can’t fairly compare them. But my experience in V is that the cars have a lot of difference between them. I find them amazingly detailed from a technical aspect.

Every time I drive a DSG I have so many “why do people love this” questions. Yes, auto rev matching is great, but other than that I feel like a traditional stick (with manual rev matching) is better.

There are a lot of reasons, but mostly it becomes part of the culture. Just like many in police departments, illegal activities get covered up and settled out of court, then it becomes the norm. And since nobody gets punished (except the unwitting tax payer) business continues as usual.

Ditched your sub? That seems like an impossible task for me, I’ve been getting Maxim for more than 10 years without a paid sub. I think it’s currently set to expire in 2020. I used to get at least 2 copies every month, but that along with FHM, Stuff and few others have ceased. I really never got in to it at all, it’s
