Lead vehicle start assist is basically an alert that you’re still looking at your phone while the car ahead has moved. This has nothing to do with the drivetrain at all.

I don’t think that’s what’s happening here. It seems to either be that Subaru hasn’t put the resources towards engineering these features for MT cars, or they think that there won’t be enough MT buyers that are interested in them.

When the BRZ/FRS was running against the NC they were outselling it in the US, even though the Miata comes with a much more well known pedigree. Now that the twins are nearing the end of their production cycle, the much newer ND is outselling it.

The Miata is similar to the BRZ, the rest of those cars aren’t nearly as driver oriented as the BRZ is. Sure, other than the Miata they have more power, but better is subjective. Most of those cars also have a much higher base price than the BRZ
