I had a somewhat similar experience one time. I was driven family-shotgun-style (3 on the front bench of a Buick Century) while I was hammered and was carrying a baby raccoon in my shirt. We (my car-mates and the raccoon) had partied pretty hard the night before and had to restock on beer. That raccoon loved beer.

I always leave the bottom row of apps (the grid, not the dock) empty. It's just an aesthetics thing. Were I to upgrade, I'd just put my Food, Reading, Utilities (2), and Entertainment (2) apps in there.

My 1st-gen Honda Civic Hybrid has series brakes as well, I'm pretty sure. Your brakes can last a long-a** time with that kind of system (though it does take some getting used to).

FWIW I bought an '03 Honda Civic Hybrid with 140K on the clock, and it's doing fine. My dad has the same car, and he's still doing fine with 260K+ on his original battery pack. And it hasn't had any significant problems otherwise, either.

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLIES!

The "Express Cook" button on the microwave. Heating something up usually take about a minute. Why dial it in? Just press go. Millions of man-hours saved.

I had Clear for exactly one month (the home broadband kind). Started out great—ended up awful.

Best car to learn on: stick-shift Honda hybrid.

I'm waiting for Haswell. If you think this year's graphical improvements are impressive, just wait for the "tock."

I'd say it's a fair-enough comparison. And shocking, too.

I apologize for having my dying Droid 1 be the holdout on 4.0.
