For those who spend a lot of time on public transportation, in-ears can be a lot more helpful than over-ears. They cut more background noise, can sound just as good/better, and they fit in a jacket/pants pocket for when you get off the bus.
Anyone running multiple resource-intensive applications on a 64-bit machine will run over the 4GB limit quickly. The day I upgraded my box to 10GB of RAM was a life-changer.
