Oh.

I was aware before commenting. I looked it up, too, to be certain “lede” is what I remembered. I acknowledged it is a ridiculous comment.

I think it's called "burying the lede", but I'm pedantic.

Honda ought to be ashamed for expecting $50+ for the Pilot. Toyota, too, should be ashamed to expect that much for a Highlander.

It was a joke. Both have old lineups. Get it????

Dealers are like, “OMG!!! We have 2018s in stock!” Meanwhile, Nissan and Dodge are still peddling 2008 models.

The 9 year piece was an exaggeration on the point that people are persuaded by payment size, even if the payments are for a ridiculously long time. You and I are saying the same thing, though. Buyers looking at vehicles at the $90K price point aren’t many (compared to those looking in the $20K-$25K range), and they’re

You’re really trying to make “CSW” a thing. It’s not going anywhere.

This hot take is terrible.

Buick is using that angle now. It’s also essentially the point of the Chevy “real people” campaign. The message is “you don’t need to make excuses for this car - it’s surprisingly good!” Since they’re already doing that with other Chevys, they just needs to get “real people” to “confuse” the C8 with a few exotics.

There must be more than one struggle bus. Nissan has a firm grip on the wheel of its own struggle bus.

This (and the generation that followed) was an aspirational car for me.

$1,400 is pretty cheap, but without 4WD, it loses its appeal. Nice price...for someone. Not me.

I thought she’d have a Tundra T3.

Buying a domestic brand is a conservative thing? How so? I don’t see the connection, but I think it’s because our definitions of “conservative” differ.

Now argument here. That wasn’t my point. They're newer than 10 years old.

29 MPG? Fake news.

How is it a Conservative thing to drive a domestic brand vs. an import brand? I’m not seeing a strong connection, but it’s probably because of my definition of a “Conservative”.

No.... The switch was designed to disable the DRLs after 4 presses. Another 4 presses turned them back on. I don’t know why they were designed this way, though. Maybe it was meant for stalking at night? Incognito tailing? Sneaking out at night without alerting parents?

A feature. All the GM pickups of the era did this.
