nothing related to unlocking stages or characters is hard at all in any smash game, unless you equate difficulty with "easy but time consuming" things like unlocking mewtwo or G&W in melee, or beating all of SSE on the easiest setting and then going to three specific "hidden" places later...

neither of them had an "equip it now" mechanic in the store nor a "hey you want me to buy what you just took off?" option. i can't actually think of another rpg that has that second option built in now that this guy mentions it, though i'm sure they're around.

well if it's any consolation, kirby is among the best in SSB64 and got a massive buff in brawl but i'm not sure how the tiers look in brawl so I don't know where he falls. based on a guess I would say at the very least in the top half.
