Ya, I saw Warren taking shots at Bernie. I’m not convinced that the staffer talking points are in fact much of an attack, I mean, what are they supposed to say? If they thought Warren was a better candidate they would be Warren volunteers. Can you point me to the actual offense Sanders signed off on? I’m suspicious

Eh, where did Sanders make the first move?

If he didn't say it should he fess up anyway?  All we have are third hand anonymous indirect quotes and Warren saying he "disagreed" that a woman could win the presidency.  And then saying that she won't discuss it further.  That's some pretty weak tea.  Him saying a woman can never win seems unlikely, him saying one

Beg?  Whatever.  Put Trump in the White House again if you want.  See if I care...  Am I not entertained?

Speaking from rural America, educated people with good jobs are really dropping the ball IMHO. Like who was the best educated candidate in 2016, Ted Cruz? The best credentialed to fix the economy being Steve Bannon probably? Obama was a constitutional scholar from Harvard who couldn’t figure out murder and torture were

Racoons come around my house all the time, and they don't mess with my cats or viciously attack anything except my garbage if I leave it out.  I did have to yell at them when they were coming in the cat door, I think that I hurt their feelings.  I was afraid they would chew things but they never did any harm.

They said Rad, but I thought Dix.

I think that it's a law that will go into effect if Roe falls, automatically.  Like a switch that doesn't need a live hand to work it I guess.

Well, I guess I would hope it isn’t so bad that every employee has to kick people out every day, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they usually had cause to kick at least one out. I’d be a bit surprised if they didn’t ignore if most of the time. I’ve tangled with Disney security before, it's amazing how fast dudes come

IIRC John Carter was married to Angelica Skyler from Hamilton. And he dueled Burr first and didn't die.

Eh, some guests groped some employees and got kicked out.  I doubt Disney likes it much, but I don't see why they they would be too worried.  I'm not sure that they would bother to bury it if they could.  Them getting caught trying to bury it would be a much bigger story I think.

I bought a sterling silver tube, and it works well for me.

They don’t have to, but it’s polite to get it. And if the subject wants to cooperate it can be a big help.

In addition to the fact that saying you will hire anyone sounds great, but I get the feeling most of the people saying it haven’t personally tried to get useful labor out of a bipolar drug addict. Or a repeat sex offender. Or that chick who wrote “The Devil Wears Prada”. Some people are hard to employ. I imagine they

I bet it was a private wine cave. Well, or owned by some sort of non-profit dedicated to the better decoration of cocktail parties for rich people so it doesn’t get taxed lol

Ya, I agree. Government jobs for everyone sounds good until you get assigned to chop wood in North Dakota, or live in a tent in the desert building a big wall.  And I like the Hoover Dam.

12 k isn’t that small. If an extra 12k a year wouldn’t make much difference to you you are rich. What’s world gdp per capital, 3k? And US median worker income is like 30k. And if kids get it too that helps single parents that much more. Find an actual single mother of two and ask if an extra 36k a year would help.

It is arguably fourth or fifth, but one through four look a lot uglier without giving people adversely affected by them something to balance the scales.  And a UBI is a simple and I think efficient way to do that.

Eh, UBI and a carbon tax aren’t shallow “disruptive” ideas. And what’s this ideological historical stuff that has the real answers? Biden? Does he look like a man with a plan to you? I like Bernie and Warren, but I don’t think their plans are smarter and more realistic than Yang’s. I mean seriously, are you holding

I don't know, honestly.  Sanders is a much better politician than they are and has a long and consistent track record.  He has a tough hill to climb to win the primary, but who else will?  Maybe Biden will keep channeling his Trumpian shield of Malarkey, and maybe Warren will pull through and win it, but as I see it
