Who to my understanding have been paid 1.5 billion to administer 25 million in debt relief for students. One percent of 1.5 billion is 15 million, so it costs the government about $50 to give an endebted student $1 in relief. Of course academia gets its shot at that dollar before the student sees even that much value.
