I think more than any of the features the shorts are my favorite. Watching them now it really makes the past look like the twilight zone. Especially ones like a Date With Your Family or the one where the cop harass a family by telling them all about the variety of ways you can die in a car specifically by missing

Agreed that Jackson was the one that should have been nominated I still think Hoffman should have won though.

He's fantastic here and its a great movie. I do wish that Philip Seymour Hoffman had gotten the Oscar instead of Waltz for the other Tarantino movie he was in, Django.

I unabashedly love Love Actually and I don't care what anyone says.

Love love Mission Impossible. its more of a spy film though than an action film. I think Rampling as Max was my favorite part. I never watched the original series so I don't care what they did to Phelps/

The book sequel was pretty good. Too bad that was barely adapted.

Does anyone feel like there is a constant imbalance between Farmiga and Highmore because Highmore is just not as good an actor as Fermiga and never will be. To be fair she's amazing.

Boogie Nights is brilliant.

No the best actor was Patrick Stewart who gave a great performance.

They rose to pop fame because Some Nights is a good album.

This is actually getting some pretty decent review on rotten tomatoes. I might check this out. Also love time loop stories.

How is candy self celebrity masturbatory. I'm not a celebrity and I would be happy to have candy for a 4 hour show where they don't feed you.

I actually thought Nicole Kidman was excellent. Better than she has been for a long time.

Disagree. Its very shaggy but strangely compelling with characters I cared about it. I even found it surprisingly moving at the end. Is it great? I don't think so but I liked it. Here's my ranking.

I still don't get it. I feel like if somebody explained it to me better it would seem obvious but every time I see this movie I have no idea what they are saying.

Really Automatic For The people that's a pretty great album. You clearly have no heart if you don't like Nightswimming.

I've seen this pop up a few times in AVClub comments and its so weird. Is going alone to the movies or dinner really something that different or upsetting? You don't need a person to have a good time at the movies. You are there for the movie. And as far as dinner you know you can take a book. I'm perfectly fine

Surprised at the amount of support Maher gets here. I thought he was hated at the AV Club

This is a big problem I have with many of the big numbers. I don't know if its the mixing or weak singers but I definitely kept losing lyrics.

I'm kind of hoping that Dev Patel or Bridges gets supporting. I like Ali but he wasn't even my favorite supporting performance in the film.
