Loved Unbreakable and Split was a lot of fun. I can't wait.

Arya and Sansa scenes are monumentality dumb. Embarrassing.

Im kind of amazed at how blah the fight choreography is. Every fight is a bland blur of everyone throwing punches. Kind of dull. Also I've never noticed this before in a Netflix marvel show even in ones I didn't like but something about this show feels slapdash and cheap

I thought the White album was well received here. I thought it was quite good. Yet everybody here seems to hate Weezer and that album. Odd

I agree. Dark City is the better film but 13th floor is a lot of fun.

The key to Trader Joes is never use a cart.

True love that look that Douglas gives when she asks him if he wants a ride at the end. You can see him momentarily think "is this still the game"

I thought Short Term 12 was wonderful so this is too bad.

The Game is my favorite Fincher. Not saying its his best but its my favorite. I also love at the end how nobody is really mentioning how powerful this company is and if they really wanted to mess you up they could.

Breakdown is great. Nice to see it here.

The smartest decision in the brilliant Sweet Hereafter was adding the Pied Piper story that wove its way throughout the movie. That wasn't in the book I don't believe.

Oh and the directors cut (tidal wave) of The Abyss is Cameron's best film. I don't really get the people who insists that the original Terminator is his best film.

That is very true. Titanic held the public imagination in both saturation and longevity that no films can touch today.

What did you think of Noah. I thought that was tone deaf and quite bad.

Love Waking Ned Devine. Siskel and Ebert raved about it and they were correct.

Its a good movie but really. I mean really.

Magnolia wrecks me every time I see it. Its very clear when you see it he made it while still dealing with his father's death from cancer. Its so raw.

Owen's piece is correct.

TWWB and Master are both heavily Kubrik inspired. He's never stopped aping other directors and always admits that. That's perfectly fine since he writes his own stuff and its always personal. I'm not sure why film bloggers get caught up in that.

I definitely miss the days of Boogie Nights not just because its fun but its has a well written script with fully rounded characters. The scripts and many other things about The Master and Inherent Vice are quite bad. Never seen so many people walk out of a film than in those two movies.
