Wow not one nominations for Leftovers. Well that's really sad.

I don't really get this. Curry's make-up in the original looked like a normal clown. What made the performance great was what he did with it. This just looks desperate. But then again the creature is an entity that predates the town of Derry and has no true form but I'm annoyed that its favorite avatar (Pennywise)

I don't find them scary just more awful and deeply uncomfortable. I don't want them near me.

PTA loves Ted. Don't know why.

Love the Stephen King vibe I'm getting from this. Can't wait to start this.

Aliens is a great film. Just smart filmaking and impeccably structured. Also so many great lines. I guess I'm in the minority as I feel like on the internet you're not allowed to love Aliens anymore.

Must keep up the good fight against these terrible films. They must be ground out. If PTA makes a film again he must redeem himself.

Everyone should read A Little Life. Its kind of amazing.

i love love this book but no the movie is terrible and a wrong headed adaptation of the novel. Not everything that PTA does is amazing. Skip the movie and read the brilliant book.

this will be nominated for best picture.

I know that's the party line that is out there but I just really doubt that Cruise was ok with the film. I mean I'm sure he didn't love a character saying that The Master was making it up as he went along.

true but I'm curious if they harassed before it came out.

I really doubt that is true.

I'm sort of curious of PTA ever got harassed by Scientology for making The Master.

Jaws isn't even a standard issue pulp beach read. In fact most of the book isn't even about the shark. Its a bizarre book.

A Prayer for Owen Meany is amazing although not as good as World According to Garp which is a classic.

Arya is one of my favorite characters and he sole scene once again shows how badly her storyline has been developed this season. Why does she know how to use faces? She never learned that. It makes no sense. And she apparently killed a bunch of people, made them into pies, and we're supposed to buy this since this

I completely agree with you about that moment in Stardust Memories. That scene where Rampling is having a breakdown and Allen uses jump cuts took my breath away.

Saw Boogie Nights again. Man what a wonderful perfect film.

Didn't read Communist but I tried Plot Against America, Sabbath's Theater, and Portnoy's Complaint and they just didn't grab me.
