so no?

I haven't really enjoyed Roth's work but I hear American Pastoral is the one book that people who usually don't like Roth would like. Is that true?

Very well cut trailer. And it looks very pretty.

I could barely get through the pilot. It was awful.

This just looks so typical Sundance to me but maybe it will be OK.

Non Stop is pretty bad.

interesting didn't know any of that. Still liked the movie though. The book is a bit on the dull side. I also think this is the last time I would describe Kidman as really good.

Will we get an Arya scene? What do you think she'll do?

how does it romanticize the South? It barely even touches on the Civil War. Its essentially about a soldier wanting to get home. He couldn't care less what the war is about, If you're saying that all the Southerners aren't outright bad evil people in the book or movie than I guess it does that but that would also be

I actually thought this movie was pretty underrated. yes it not the masterpiece that Talented Mr. Ripley is but I like what Minghella did with the material. I thought he even improved on the book in some respects.

So true about Pleasantville. One of those few films that get deeper and better as it goes along.

I couldn't get into Handmaiden's Tale but I loved The Robber Bride. I haven't read any other Atwood.

To be fair Bateman hates everybody not just women.

Really I actually found The Big Nowhere to be the best of the 4. Maybe because of how really out there it gets such as with its serial killer. I only read it once a long time ago but it stuck in my head far more than the other great novels of the quartet.

I wouldn't say I'm terrified but I hate clowns and will easily go out of my way to avoid them. I think that's true for most people which is why IT tapped into such a real fear.

Why wouldn't they be tired of being asked that. Contra and especially Modern Vampires of the city sound nothing like Graceland. That a lazy question.

I wouldn't describe the character of Sydney as stupid at all. For a slasher film she's sympathetic, well rounded, and relatively smart.

The film was fantastic. Absolutely riveting and definitely my top 5 favorite film of that year.

You have a soft spot for them because the first one is great.
