I think they're both masterpieces. While I've seen The Thing many times I finally saw Halloween on the big screen last year and was struck by both how great it was and how atypical. There's a large section in that film that has nothing to do with slasher conventions but rather simply about given you a sense of the

Cannot wait for this film. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a classic as far as I'm concerned and its been so long for his follow up and no Iron Man 3 doesn't count. This looks what Inherent Vice should have been but wasn't.

I'm pretty sure she was pissed when Jenkins was fired/bailed out of Thor 2. Why would she want to come back let alone to play generic love interest.

Completely disagree although I can see why it would be divisive. It was such a powerful and moving work to me. To the point where books I would read after it seemed so wimpy and small. The violence didn't bother but it was like an emotional tidal wave.

Completely agree. Its terrible. And Inherent Vice the book is great.

I was wondering when somebody would mention Magnolia, That makes me sad as I love it. But if we're talking Paul Thomas Anderson films I would say Magnolia that people (at least on movie sites) keep insisting its great. Umm what no.

Interesting that it looks like a straight drama as the novel was a very funny and very sad black comedy. Curious to see what next trailer is like.

Michael Clayton

I've always loved the bands melodies but the guys voice is like nails on chalkboard to me. Its too bad because I love the songs just not the guy who is signing them

I don't get the sentiment on this board that you have to be a beer snob to realize that Bud Light and Budweiser are kind of shitty. They're are many beers the same price that are far better.

Looks kind of generic. Hopefully it isn't

there are no beathtaking scenes in Inherent Vice

At least this better than The Master or Inherent Vice.

The video is weirdly hypnotic

I can't imagine how Hamilton won't be a movie at some point.

I've never seen anything but the re release. I can't imagine the film without the tidal wave. I love this movie.

Take me Or Leave me is a really good song

I think the music still holds up. Dated or not its an incredibly catchy and memorable score.

really it my favorite novel of his. Definitely my favorite characters of his and I loved the farcical nature of the plot but played at half speed. Yiddish Policeman's Union I hated though.

Wonder Boys is fantastic and the movie is highly underrated.
