I will never understand the comparisons between Magnolia and Short Cuts. Superficially yes but that's it. Tonally the two movie have nothing in common. I sometimes wonder if the people who say this actually even bothered to watch either film or know anything about tone or camra style.

I still remember seeing The Ring in a packed out. People lost their mind when she came out of the TV. I've never seen an audience react to a horror film like that since.

you need to watch it. Season 1 is good but lumpy. Season2 is a masterpiece.

Great book

Never read but really liked Hologram For A King.

To be fair Tusk was so so bad. Definitely one of the more annoying times I've had at the theater.

I found the first half dull. Very uninteresting characters pulled down by muted performances.

Secret Success! Really. The problem with the film is that it so boring. The characters are dull and everyone feels like they're half asleep. And the re shot 3rd act stands out like a sore thumb.

I doubt Andy Serkis is thrilled about it.

Too bad I really liked the book.

I do not understand the love of this book. Its a murder mystery where the killer is obvious pretty early on and I'm not even good at solving mystery novels. Also its way too padded with far too many scenes of the main character getting drunk again. Its such a badly paced novel. Finally, all the characters are so

I guess crazy isn't the right word but apparently he was an asshole and has been for the last few films. I know Hemsworth has said he won't work with him again. I can't imagine Davis taking any shit from Mann.

its very enjoyable mainly because of the leads and Maze

I wonder how she dealt with Michael Mann's craziness on Blackhat.

Because the songs (which is most of the show since its sung through) are catchy and complex and the characters are compelling.

really I've seen it talked about it many circles that usually never bothers with Broadway stuff. Its something that rarely happened to any show that hasn't started touring yet. It really hasn't happened since Rent.

While I haven't seen the show the cast recording album is fantastic. Sometimes hype is deserved. Then again I feel like I'm the minority here with this backlash in the comments.

Just wanted to pop and say I loved the trilogy. It has a rich world and characters that have stayed with me long after I read the books.

I wouldn't call As Good As It Gets standard. Its too well written for that.

that Marc Maron interview is great. Always fun listening to PTA interview when the interviewee gets on his wavelength.
