Is this sort of like The Master where its not about Scientology except its all about Scientology?

Isn't American Graffiti already pretty Altman like with its meandering non story story?

I remember when I worked in a video story during high school and recommending Magnolia, Being John Malkovich, and Fight Club all in one week. All three customers made sure to come and tell me how angry they were at my awful suggestions. I was tempted to recommend Talented Mr. Ripley to them just to see what happened

Loved the book Inherent Vice. So great. Wish the movie was funny or moving like the book. Don't get the love this movie gets on this board.

I actually didn't bother with Wolfs Law cause I thought everyone said it was terrible and I loved their debut. Maybe I'll try it now.

I am so excited for this. Looks sooooo good. I'm kind of hoping this will be what I was hoping Inherent Vice would have been.

Really Big Nowhere is easily my favorite Ellroy and I liked all the characters equally. Although I doubt I could read it again. I read it years ago and many of the scenes are burned into my head. Its easily the most relentlessly grotesque thing he has ever written.

Love this film. Glad it eventually went up in people's estimation since it got trashed on release.

Really I was let down by the movie only because its so faithful to the book. The movie did not do many differences so I'm not really sure how you can hate the novel and love the movie.

Also I really don't care about monster or no monster as long as it well made. And it looks like Dan Trachtenberg did a very good job and the actors are great so I'm fine.

is it really his movie if he didn't write or direct it?

I'm waiting for a movie that really breaks Mary Elizabeth Winstead out. Shes always so good. She was great in faults

Loved In Bruges. Hopefully this is a rebound after Psychopaths.

Wonderful writer. Lords of Discipline and prince of Tides are great with Lords probably being my favorite.

Joe R. Landsdale is awesome and has never fully gotten the respect he deserves.

I feel like anthology just mean miniseries now.

I remember hearing for a while that Brolin is very difficult. But I also did hear through the rumor mill that PTA got along with him surprisingly well. Also if hes really that much of an asshole I guess the Coens don't mind.

Loved the Thomas Crown Affair remake. Rene Russo was great in it. Not sure what you're problem was.

Always like a Punch Drunk Love mention. Love that movie.

So far this is one of the better King adaptations Ive seen in a long time. Hopefully the quality continues.
