Agreed. None of the common criticisms I hear regarding Iron Man 3 seem to have anything to do with how well it works as a movie and everything to do with how fans were disappointed in one way or another. IMO it has Tony’s most satisfying arc out of the trilogy what with him dealing with his anxiety issues and coming

And they were both super obnoxious in Spider-Man 3

It’s kinda why I hate cutscenes in video games; instead of using the unique aspects of the medium (in this case interactivity and 1:1 immersion) to tell your story in new ways you fall back on emulating a more established, better-regarded medium at key narrative points. It’s like when silent movies used to cut in text

    Will Damon Lindelof do?

Or to give it its full title Taken 4: A Ride

Sounds like something outta The Edge Chronicles

I'm still mad they didn't call the latest one Bourne Again. Talk about missed opportunities.

In space no one can hear you rev

Didn't episode 3 end with there being only 2 Jedi and 2 Sith...seems pretty balanced to me

Few premises are original if you're reductive enough.

Does he not realise you can film things and then cut them later?....actually that would explain a lot.

Considering his insane script for Gladiator 2 I can't tell whether that's a good or bad thing

That’s like blaming The Dark Knight for Man of Steel....although, having said that it was Chris Nolan who gave WB Zack Snyder’s name when asked who he thought should direct (the other person he suggested was Darren Aronofsky which woulda been batshit and also kinda ironic considering he was gonna do a batman film

Loved the books when I was a kid. They even inspired some LittleBigPlanet levels where you fly an airship (tho my control system was a bit shitty). Needless to say, I will see it and the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia will probably be as effective as several glasses of rosé in suspending the critical judgement.

To be fair “Just some shootouts and fights” is a pretty accurate description of a lot of action movie.

Catmull would go on to cofound Pixar. The mans a CG OG!

4 definitely seems like a case of taking a generic action movie script, changing the leads name to John McClane, slapping Die Hard on the front and sitting back to let them brand recognition bucks roll in

4.0 is the stupid one with the hacking and Justin long and that scene where a car is used to take down a helicopter

That show makes watching 40 minutes of TV seem absolutely exhausting

It seems like that would work great until the stakes become life threatening. Because how you gonna prioritise not breaking house arrest over staying alive?!
