also work is totally different than high school. in high school you are 14-18. at work you can be anywhere from 16 (depending on the job) to 90+. not a good example. 

did you go to high school? there is all kinds of dating across grade levels. 

i get that. i just have a little sympathy for a 15yr old and 17yr old who are dating and maybe the 17 yr old turns 18 in the middle of their senior year (which is super common) and then all of a sudden it’s illegal?

high school. he could be a senior and she could be a young junior even. its not that uncommon even if technically illegal in some states
