I *think* this photo is messing with the proportions of the Ecosport, but it looks so dumb in real life, too, that I’m not sure. Maybe this *is* how stupid it looks.

The main reason, IMO, that EVs up to now won’t be collectible is that most EVs so far are electric versions of cars/segments that the gas versions are very un-collectable also.

Plus the name “Rogue Sport” suggests it’s a trim level of the Rogue, rather than a unique model

FWIW, the “base” MINI Cooper SE is already a “mid” trim level (Signature), so it’s pretty well-equipped, and they are order-only so the buyer can just pick whichever one they want.

The Bolt has no federal tax credits left, though, so there’s a $7500 difference right there even if the MSRP is the same.

Right? What the fuck was that; trying to fail intentionally?

Just because he dipped 1 wheel onto the “shoulder” by taking out a yellow cone, the guy just gives up

There are plenty of FSD Beta videos showing failures.

FWIW, the 3rd Gen MINIs have actually been pretty reliable... far better than the 2nd Gen MINIs.

Also, it’s a great name AND the car actually LOOKS like a Scarab.

Cool, same here (Lightning). I just emailed my dealer and they have an across-the-board $1295 dealer fee (which is on their website and true for ALL the cars they sell, not just Broncos/Lightnings), so that’s effectively a markup, but it says “No markup” on that list. So definitely check and get it in writing, I’d say.

If you’re actually buying a Bronco or Lightning or Mach E, I’d get something in writing and not inherently trust that list, BUT it’s a good start for finding a relatively local dealer that won’t hose you at delivery.

Where’s the list of “plenty of Ford dealers”?

Consumer Reports puts MINI well above Chevrolet for reliability, since we’re talking about the Spark.

Agreed. I just saw an Mk8 GTI here in Florida. Zero chance I’m buying a Civic non-Si/R for the same money.

Non-metallic > metallic.

So the Spark remains the only hatchback with a manual, sunroof, and cool colors :p

“Fuck that, fuck this deal, and fuck you in particular. Cancel my order and refund my deposit. You are dealing in bad faith and I want nothing further to do with you over a mere car.”

No one is forcing these people to buy a Bronco. If you want it, pay the fee. If you don’t, don’t. If someone else will pay it and you won’t, you lose. That’s part of capitalism.

I don’t see what’s the problem with that if you can save $5k. You only have to pay them to get that car RIGHT NOW if your lease is up or your current car is falling apart and for some reason can’t buy another car.
