Interesting that you can’t delete the panoramic roof. I would have guessed it was possible.

The Porsche configurator doesn’t list Porsche Individual colors as an option for Taycans, at the moment.

How many wagons are offered right now? My man, they’re already over.

My local dealer has 2 Taycans.

I know they’re trying to make this a crossover with the name and the arches, but this thing is a sportwagen that just happens to have plastic arches.

The Panamera Cross Turismo too.

Ha, yeah, just saying “it’s fine, but don’t park it near anything you don’t want to burn down” means “we are NOT confident that it’s fine.”

Yeah, BEV travel isn’t quite as “brainless” (for lack of a better term) as gas, yet. People *should* do a little pre-purchase and pre-trip research as far as where chargers are located along their normal routes. For many people driving major highways, it’s basically “brainless”, but not quite as much as gas.

Funny enough, I’m in Tampa as well and have been driving EVs for ~6 years, CCS and Tesla.

I just don’t consider an electric vehicle a road trip vehicle. Like yeah.. you CAN do it and it’s easier with a tesla, but there’s alot of vehicles I COULD road trip as well that I just don’t want to.

Right, I’m just saying people need to think through what their actual use case is. If you’re stopping for 2.5 hours total anyway along the way, then a car that can charge in 1 hour total doesn’t necessarily save you a lot of time over one that takes 2.5 hours total to charge.

Yes, agreed. There’s no one test that *everyone* can look at and say “that’s the perfect Real World representation of my use case.” It’s basically impossible to create a test that’s meaningful to everyone. That’s why more tests are better, so long as they’re well-run and interpreted reasonably.

Only real downside for the Ford is Ford Dealers which in my area are not as bad as the GM dealers.. so there’s that.

Looks wise, I agree for the Mach E GT with the bigger wheels and black grill... it’s better looking than the Y.

Those 2 hours of reduced charging time translate directly to 2 hours saved on the road trip.

How many of those people are looking at buying a new $60,000 vehicle? I know the number that should be.

Tesla’s real world numbers are below their EPA numbers. Ford’s are the reverse.

I knew Musk was out of touch, but I didn’t think he was this out of touch. The stripper Model Y goes for a hair under 40 grand. Let them eat cake, eh Elon?

What’s your source? See how anectdotal evidence works? You’ve made a claim to which you have no data. I personally know a family with that has owned two Teslas, a Model Y and a Model 3. Guess how many drivers in that household even know what Level 4/5 autonomy is? One.
