Yes, yes it does.
Yes, yes it does.
GM and BMW and others have a camera system monitoring the driver’s eyes for focus. At this point that has been established as the best in class way to ensure the driver is paying attention.
The name is intentionally misleading to over state the capabilities of the system.
Slow down Stan, Elon went home already.
Plenty of people on here think *I’m* a Tesla stan, but these guys are crazy and I can’t stand “Tesla Twitter” because it’s full of these nutjobs.
I think the only other fans as rabid as Tesla fans are Apple fans.
Like I’ve said elsewhere, I’m OK with a camera solution. Tesla has already implemented one, somewhat, and revoked “FSD Beta” access for people who aren’t paying attention enough.
Ah, I see the confusion.
Tesla is entirely in the wrong here, they should at least have a seat sensor to tell the car if there’s actually someone in the driver’s seat.
We all know things as important as this is, has to be made idiotic proof.
I can’t prove it. You can’t prove that it isn’t either!
They’ve already bothered to add weights to the steering wheel, keep the belt buckled, and not open any doors in order to pull off this stunt. Adding a bag to the driver’s seat to trick the seat sensor is not going to stop anyone who has already done those other things.
First, prove that the name of the driving system has caused these accidents.
Elon Musk stated recently that Auto Pilot could not be used w/o someone in the driver’s seat.
Sit inside a Tesla Model 3 and then go sit inside a 3 series or C class. They’re far nicer on the inside with build quality that blows away the Tesla.
Yeah, I haven’t looked into it enough to have a strong opinion on the interiors and such, but I like the lower price and taillights of the 997.1. I think I read the IMS was still a potential issue on the *early* 997.1s, but thought that was a first-year-only issue or something.
997.2. Good ones with great maintenance records and low mileage are around 60k or less.
My eyes saw the line I wanted to take through the corner,
I turned the steering wheel to follow that line, and the car followed. If that’s not telepathic, I don’t know what it is.
Honestly, I figured attention is the main reason anyone would buy a Ferrari *California.*
Factor in the rennlist/purists demands for specific options and if you buy the right car and don’t flog it to death you’ll probably never lose a cent on it.
