Tesla’s cybertruck is vapourware.
Tesla’s cybertruck is vapourware.
I think Ford is going to do what they always do with the F-150: change the game (aluminum, turbo 6s, etc.) and do it well and sell a crap ton of EF-150s.
The $40k version is coming last, now... because like the Model 3, they’ll be able to sell every Cybertruck they can build in a higher trim level for a while. They’d be throwing money away to build the $40k version right away.
because EV technology won’t combine market-desirable hauling performance and range for years to come.
There are only so many people willing and able to spend $75k+ on a pickup.
So what car should they have used?
Tesla calls the feature “City Streets (FSD Beta).”
Yes, they call it FSD Beta. So *don’t call it that*. Call it by it’s official name, City Streets.
“Tesla’s Level 2 driver-assist system ‘Navigate on Autopilot’ feature”
but at the end of the day you have to acknowledge that Tesla is selling something as “Full Self-Driving Capability” that simply is not capable of full self-driving.
I’m saying it’s not that complicated to just use the actual name of the feature. Yes, you would have to know what feature does what instead of just calling everything by the name of the option package, but isn’t that what people writing articles are supposed to do: research so they can deliver information accurately? C…
They can often avoid even using the name of the option by simply talking about the feature itself, of which NONE are actually called “Full Self Driving”, now.
Which is still an improvement over the outright lie that is “Full Self Driving”.
Even if one agrees that nothing Tesla currently does is >L2, which I do, “Tesla’s L2 driver-assist system” is too vague to know what the author is referring to.
you would call them lanekeep assist level 1 and level 2. not give them dumbass names that make the poorly educated public think they can press a button and fuck off and take a nap.
In many cases, this whole idea doesn’t work in practice.
But if that’s what the system does, why is it called Full Self-Driving Capability?
Yeah, it’s almost like there are two parts to Tesla’s screw up...
I’m drawing a parallel because there is one. There are two problems with the Tesla issue:
So vaguely implied, I didn’t imply it at all.
