Still no dedicated sound card? I guess you run out of slots eventually...

Yosenex is spot on.

Okay, then argue for it.

I was thinking of those, but I intentionally abstained from mentioning them (with the exception of the HD resolution, admittedly) since they're also effectively available on the DS in one form or another. The DS has local Wi-Fi for multiplayer, speakers, a headphone port, and the DSi and 3DS have cameras.

Right, except it's a DS with the power of a set-top console, a fully-featured semi-portable control pad with rumble and motion controls separate from the top screen (TV), an online ecosystem, compatibility with Wii Remote Plus controllers for single or unique five-player local multi-player gameplay, and backwards

I've known some pretty serious gamers who have tilted and turned their bodies when executing corresponding controller commands. It's just a habit some people have yet to break; I know I used to do it as well, until I forced myself to sit still.

It varies from place to place. A Target near me had a grand total of five systems for sale today: two deluxe and three basic. The rest were already accounted for via pre-sale cards.

Wait, they're honestly letting people vote for games that aren't released yet and, by the time the awards show happens, will have only been out for twenty days on a console that will be next to impossible to buy for the next few months? Not only will any votes already received for these games be based on almost

Yeah, but then again, Darth Vader was used in the Galaxy's marketing campaign in Japan...

There has to be some irony in McWhertor's t-shirt company making a Kotaku shirt where the logo is made out of pink and purple polygons.

I think his point was that the drivers are very skilled, but use that skill to drive like maniacs...?

"[...] he says the plan is to be "pretty frequent" when unveiling new episodes—ideally six to eight months between releases."

This image is relatively popular; I could see a cosplay of this scene being pretty cool if executed well.

I was just going by the text at the bottom of the post that read "Last edited by CheapyD; 09-14-2012 at 11:50 PM."

Really? I thought it was an allegory for the Sonic Cycle.

That's a bit outdated (from September), though I'm not sure how much it's changed.

In the event I don't end up getting one at launch, I'll hope you're right.

I don't think it's realistically possible to preorder the console anywhere now. If you want one at this point, you'll either have to go to a store for midnight or early morning launches, find one online for at least $150 more than the retail price, or just wait six to twelve months for them to be available again. This is more along the lines of the Mafia buying the same type of window the store uses, smashing it, then telling the store owners that the same could happen to them unless they buy better windows from the Mafia.
