Run before the vegans get ya! Run!!!

Her speech, with its references to Seneca Falls and all the history that came before, was in perfect tune.

If you have read her statement, you will see that she says pretty much exactly what you did about acknowledging her. If he had ever shown any remorse, apologized or treated the act as anything more than “oops, I drank too much” - that’s all she wanted/needed. But to dig in and go for the “now I talk about the dangers

Why should my son be treated like a sex offender?

I have guy friends who have been around me while I was drunk and they were drunk. None of these guys ever tried to rape me. I never woke up with some random, unwanted guy in my bed. I understand now that I was lucky.

Okay, but to be fair, sleeping with a number of people (what number is it that makes someone promiscuous, again?) definitely means you want to be violated while unconscious. Like, that’s just a straight up if-then logic thingy.

I was a DD at a b day party last night and drove 8 drunk people home - men and women - and none of them raped any one. Fuck this guy and Fuck his father for condoning and excusing his actions.

Every time I hear that “sexual promiscuity” phrase in regards to this case, I feel like it’s blaming the victim once again. No way does Brock or his father believe Brock was promiscuous. They believe the victim was. It infuriates me.

But that’s impossible! You had alcohol in your system!!!

One time I was suuuuuper drunk and in a sexy situation with another suuuuuper drunk girl. We were rounding 3rd base when she pushed my hand away, so guess what?! I ROLLED OVER AND WENT TO SLEEP! WHAT A NOVEL CONCEPT!!!

It’s truly an enigma.

But how!?!???? Almost like you are responsible for your own actions!?!??

That’s all the son thinks he did wrong too. He blames binge drinking and sexual promiscuity. Wonder where he got that.

I drank a shit ton of wine last night and I managed not to rape anyone.

“By having people like Brock educating others on college campuses is how society can begin to break the cycle of binge drinking and its unfortunate results.” - holy shit, does he really think the only lesson anyone should take away from this is not to binge drink??? How about DON’T RAPE

It just factors right into the entitlement mentality that pervades our economy, although it’s mostly found in upper-level (i.e. older) management people, rather than in the age group that it’s commonly pointed at (i.e. younger workers).

I’m inclined to agree. I have a tiny business as well. Really, my employees are the ones doing me the favor - without them I’d simply have to close shop. The idea of using some loophole to not pay them a fair wage seems ghastly.

I run a small (tiny) business, and really, this law is looooong overdue. Pay people for the work they do or for the hours they work, and stop making excuses about how this will hurt - think of the people working long, hard hours for minimal compensation. If overtime is expensive for the employer in dollars, it is even

My best friend and college roommate for three years is a conservative, and was a member of the college Republicans. He was (and is) an exemplary conservative and one whom I wish the party was full of.
