I think it’s a result of Pocono’s famously wide pit lane. It’s probably twice as wide as the pits at Indy, and is one of the widest on the Nascar calendar. Hopefully a simple extension of the wall by about 100 feet or so will better protect the crews better.

I liked the pre-show run-up. When Cale Yarborough says, “I wouldn’t get out of the electric chair to get on that bus right now,” you’ve got yourself an epic stunt. Haha.

Many fans thought that telling a driver where to brake, how much fuel to save, etc, meant the drivers weren’t driving. So now instead of having interesting and informative radio messages to let viewers and commentators know how a driver is doing, the teams will just send the data via the dashboard or some other way.
