Ya, you are totally right, at least the 3 stage deal (which is dumb) gives racers the chance to race for points 3 times a race which will (hopefully) increase the excitement.

Just throwing this out there, any Saturday night at a local short track is awesome because there are heat races, a last chance race and a feature race. If other sports cars are to small and you like American cars try out a Corvette. C4's and newer are actually okay for tall folks. They are a pain to get in and out of, especially C4's, but they are pretty roomy once you are in.
