Fore what it’s worth I loved Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. That game was the perfect length, whatever path you took. It also showed being open world is really overrated.

Yeah and that’s my biggest issue with all this. This is being presented as “regular joes getting whats theres” but what kind of regular joe has enough cash lying around that they can make moves like this.

I thought it was more of a remake - as in there’s more than a texture update happening with the game.  Not Final Fantasy levels of a remake - but I think there’s a lot being invested in modernization.

This needs it’s own speed running sub category of ANY TEMP.

The problem is that it’s a $210 game. You’re severely limited in terms of what you can do in the game without dropping $144 on some ps4 move controllers.

Same here the mass effect triolgy is actually the thing i look most forward to now, with a close 2 and 3 being probably bloodlines 2 and persona 6 even if that isnt really announced yet. I believe that’s why it was delayed though, to try to give some QoL adjustments to ME1.  I love that game but boy the inventory mgmt was a huge chore.  I basically can’t play it on console anymore, have to mod all those things out of existence lol.

You probably mention this but to me it’s just a big fucking circle-jerk for ego and advertising, just like any other entertainment awards. They are no longer Studio X, they are “GotY award winning” Studio X.

I mean GoW3 looked good at the time, but also has the benefit of being 3rd person game where the camera can be pulled further back so the textures don’t need to look great up close in 1st person.
