Me:

It doesn’t even seem fun to many people, though, myself included. It’s not mock confusion.

“Marry me. [fart]”

@fart is blowing up

Mainly because these people lack identities that stand on their own. They need others with identical identities to reaffirm and cultivate their identity: DBs.

Peer pressure and legacies. When you’re 18, you can be talked into some pretty dumb stuff, especially if it’s in order to not be left out of something. At schools that have a high greek participation rate, it can be really hard to stand against that flow of people—and a lot of 18-year-olds, while exuding confidence,

Wow, a misogynist and a racist? Go figure. And, sorry to disappoint, but I’m not a woman. Although I can see how you’d be confused; like most women, I wouldn’t fuck you, either.

I know, right? What a total buzzkill. She is totally not getting an invite to the “Fiddler on the Roofie” mixer. amirite?

I’m glad it was like, totes legit fun. (eye roll)

And yet, you spent at least four years in gleeful submission to a 1950’s gender power structure....go figure.

The author admits it’s an “outside scenario”, so I’m not sure anyone is suggesting the Pats will “magically” win this year. The precedent is exactly what you stated: three years with otherwordly numbers culminating in three post-season appearances and two SB appearances.

$70k? I thought it was $130k?

Yeah, why does everyone think that the team that is in the Super Bowl all the time is gonna be in the Super Bowl again?!?

Nice spin job, but ultimately false. The Patriots have consistently had one of the top offenses in the league, so it’s more a case of the offense (i.e. Brady) carrying the defense, not the other way around. Here’s the Patriots’ ranking in points scored between their last two Super Bowl titles: 10th, 7th, 1st, 8th,

The AFC really is a trash heap right now. Not counting the Patriots, I think I’d take the Bills over any other AFC team based on the season so far. (Would be Steelers, but Michael Vick is going to pilot them for far too long so who knows if they can keep the ship afloat.)

This is the NFL trying to control the news cycle. Goodell must be so petty. I would say the owners should just quietly tell him to “let it go.” The fans don’t care, Tom Brady is once again torching the league and proving why he is the GOAT and a wise judge has ruled and his decision is just.
