Fundamental flaw in anything Nintendo says: Nintendo.

It’s a scenario where power corrupts.
While funny, and probably true, I discovered something I did not know after investigating that story.
It’s really universal. I’ve noticed that even adults have this strange inability to understand that a person wearing a full-face covering head-mounted-display actively engaged in a Virtual Environment cannot see/sense their surroundings and just assume you’ll avoid them.
I think the biggest picture here is that the PAX events are meant specifically to be that: Events.
None of that needs or benefits from blockchain. None of that requires an open ledger, there’s no distributed trust requirement. Ubisoft wants to make a game with game-related components, that don’t need or benefit from the transaction ledger being open. That's dumb.
Blockchain itself isn’t the part that causes a waste of resources, it’s the proof of work aspect that has everyone competing to get the next block hash.
Imagine if Ironbottom Sound was to resurface like this? Geological catastrophe of all that displaced water aside, that would be an impressive array of battle shattered husks to behold.
The “Don’t do this at home” crap is definitely a requirement from the laywers/business but the fact that this video even got made and they literally included the line, “You have every right to open it up and do what you want,” in that video is a huge step forward.
There are some general standards available, and the government requirements are published, but unless the developer is providing the software or service as an ancillary to a public service, ADA is not legally applicable.
French Bread end-game play; everyone calling all the girls in the game “Saber-face”, just add Saber.
This is why I’ve always found the ‘zombie’ genre kind of annoying. Why imagine these random scenarios of undead monsters when we’ve got rabies right there, staring at us, waiting for the right moment.
As long as you aren’t susceptible to Collector’s Syndrome (in terms of possible characters), and you don’t mind progressing normally, Genshin is actually pretty F2P friendly, and you’ll be able to keep enjoying it without hitting a pay wall.
Then there’s me dealing with the JSL reality of JP voices conflicting with the EN map labels and character names.
I will say, the game itself is definitely fun, and the biggest reason why I don’t agree with other people using the “predatory” label is that the game doesn’t force you to pull to enjoy the game. You can fully and absolutely enjoy the core gameplay without spending anything.
I disagree that it’s predatory, but I think their monetization system is definitely aggressive and obviously bad. It is at least obvious that a new 5star character will outright cost you around 75-100$USD.
As an additional note to the other reply, Pyro is just too saturated in the current Genshin meta. With the release of Yoimiya, there’s even a 5-star Pryo Bow user to replace the extremely subpar starter Amber, so they really couldn’t have put her in with that role. Lighting also has a solid 4-star, Fischl that most…
Primary issue is licensing costs. The console manufacturers hide behind DMCA laws to claim that peripherals for their proprietary device are protected intellectual property, so if you want to make a controller for their consoles, you have to jump through hoops, spend lots of money, probably pay them royalties on…
So.... ask a colorblind person, am I supposed to feel a bit miffed at the appropriation of Ishihara test patterns as a design style?
Using a noscript or similar extension that blocks any client side scripting from running with a whitelist-by-domain option is the only way I’ll browse the web at this point. Currently I use scriptsafe on Chrome, though I’m writing my own Firefox extension now just to be on the safe side.
