The DDOS is impacting the authentication servers. They don’t have enough attack power to kill the actual PSN network. Basically if you can login then you’re all good. Just need to authenticate.

Keep doing god’s work and correcting spelling on three year old posts, Opie.

Vita owners who know Japanese or are patient enough to wait for Japanese games to get localize LOVE the Vita. There’s actually too many games to play.

You think it’s off-brand for them to develop their fun mobile game for iOS and Android both? Or do you think a big game development house like Bethesda would overlook iOS as a potential target platform for their project and cut out a huge portion of their potential user base?

It’s not the “more difficult language” or “different tools” aspect. It’s the many, many, many, many more lines of code necessary for a wider range of OS and hardware configurations that Android brings to the table, not to mention the additional testing, etc.

Because it’s an easier platform to develop for in terms of consistency of underlying hardware and game performance. Plus, mobile games market doesn’t tie into traditional games market as closely as you imagine so your personal experience of “gamers shunning Apple” doesn’t really pan out in terms of mobile game

I do a lot of impromptu technology breakdowns at my job in a Unix/Storage based tech support job and abuse the crap out of our whiteboards. But I hate them. I would love so much more to use a chalkboard. Cleaning up would be so much easier, especially since older whiteboards start to get so hard to clean, you’re

The internet is a fabulous place, isn’t it? This appears to have actually been a stunt of some kind and actually on purpose.

The truth is that the statute exists so that if conditions dictate a slower speed is necessary then drivers should slow down. That statute does not allow for speeding, even if the flow of traffic is above the posted limit.

Milk? In tea? This sounds pretty revolting.

We could just shortcut the round-about process and just make it illegal to be poor.

The thing with twitch is that it will provide some downscale transcoding based on your quality setting. So if you have your quality setting on anything but “source” then you’re getting a downscale transcode. “High” is actually a cap at 720p@30fps, so if the streamer’s source stream is 60fps you’ll lose, and if they’re

I’ve done a few streams at 720p60fps and it works fine if I have my encoder set for very_fast and main. Need a bit more beef to bring it down to fast (which gives a really nice quality bump).

This makes me want to go back so bad. I’ll have to see if I can dig up some of my photos of my visit to Miyajima and the Itsukushima shrine. Time to start saving and planning for another trip.

Just to prove how much of a loser I am, not only did I get the MGS box trick, but laughed at Pink Pie doing the reverse kabe-don too.

As I am a “self-unaware loser” who is often the perpetrator of “tone deaf office banter”, the guy who said it is probably completely unaware that he insulted her and was just trying to be his goofy, funny, and intolerably annoying self.

The important part as far as streaming is going to go is your upstream bandwidth. All of the various streaming software will give you options for your bitrate and you can adjust that to accommodate your pipeline as necessary.

Considering Nintendo’s extremely aggressive attempts to hand out copyright strikes for any youtube videos featuring any video gameplay and occasionally targeting streamers as well, it’s for the best that the WiiU is left out anyways.

Yeah, looking at the original and the overlay from the anime, that’s just a completely accidently 100% accurate reproduction, take by someone at the exact same angle, the exact some height, with the exact same train in the background, at the exact same time of day...

Right. It’s copying other people’s work, without permission. If that bothers you, then be outraged, if it doesn’t, then don’t care.
