Also the third episode of Blade Runner Black Lotus is on CN/Toonami/Adult Swim/whatever it is called at midnight Saturday (or really Sunday).

Since this column covered the HBO Gordon Parks documentary yesterday just want to mention that for the next couple of Tuesdays TCM is running blocks of some of Mr. Parks’ film work. Tonight they are showing The Learning Tree, Shaft, Shaft’s Big Score, and a couple of shorts he did. In with next weeks block they are

Just a mention that CN/Adult Swim/Toonami are starting the new Blade Runner: Black Lotus anime series this Saturday (Sunday?) at midnight.

“It’s been adapted twice before, both times for television, but third time might be the charm, given that the story calls out for a bigger budget.”

If anyone is interested the Sky One show Intergalactic starts on Syfy tonight at 10PM EST. Based on what I have read the show was compared (unfavourably - reviews were not kind) to the Blake’s 7/Farscape set-up of escaped convicts in space.

According to my DVR schedule the “Halloween Apocalypse” episode is going to run first this afternoon at 2:25 EST (some sort of simultaneous world premier), with the 8PM regular time slot showing being an “extended” version of the episode.

How did “The Adventures of Mark Twain” not make this list?

As part of the Doctor Who marathon BBC America is showing the animated reconstruction of “The Evil of the Daleks” starting Saturday at 8AM EST (not sure if they have run it before).

What about the infamous Paul Lynde special?

Thank you for the information, had no idea. Off to see if I can find a copy of the story.

Not that it matters or adds anything, but reading the title “Knock at the Cabin” made think that this is somehow an adaptation of that one sentence horror story about the last person on earth hearing a knock at their door.

Other than the character showing up for guest spots I half-suspect that CBS/Paramount/Harmon will try to use the popular character for a Longmire or Cade’s County type show (or series of TV movies). A modern western exclusive to Paramount Plus, set in Alaska with Gibbs as some sort of lawman.

Not to put down Ms. Kardashian* (or any host) but is the ratings increase due to the host? According to an article posted here about last week’s SNL ratings (low for the premiere) they normally go up steadily over the course of the season (plus, at least in our area/through our service, the Owen Wilson episode was

Did Mr. Chalamet accidentally post a picture of Tom Hiddleston in yet another BBC Dickens adaptation?

Do not know how much this may play into the ratings but the U-Verse scheduler did not show it as a new episode (at least in our area).

Does Walking Dead World Beyond season two start tonight? My dvr scheduler has it set to record, but my provider is AT&T and it tends to be wrong (or have the listings in French?!?!) quite often (ridiculously often). Thanks.

Folks might also be interested in a (possibly now finished) horror radio series from BBC Radio 4 umbrella-titled The Lovecraft Investigations. All three series or stories, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, The Whisperer In Darkness, and The Shadow Over Innsmouth, are available as free podcast downloads from the BBC
