Re: the Celtic Women sketch - are we supposed to believe that you do not watch any PBS at all? I have never watched the Celtic show or shows but they run them all the time during their public television fundraisers (which now also seem to run all the damn time), and you cannot escape the commercials/promos/whatever.

Eric Roberts.

“If Haddish is selected as the next host, it will likely be at a later time in the day as Kelly Clarkson’s show is getting the bump to the coveted timeslot now left wide open by Ellen’s departure.”

Since I have some idea where this is going, no thanks.

Coincidentally playing catch up on the last few episodes while surfing. Really sorry to hear of the cancellation.

Off topic, figure other folks have brought it up before, had not thought about this until just now (combination of the Snyder cut topic and seeing Michael B. Jordan’s name above), but why doesn’t someone push for the Josh Trank cut of Fantastic Four? Disney could probably come up with a few bucks it could put towards

Not that my opinion matters but I think it is a great fun movie, not only because of the story, sets, and atmosphere/music (heck, everything!), but mostly because any one of Messrs (well, two Sirs and a Mister) Lee, Cushing, or Savalas’ characters on their own could be the focus or protagonist of the movie

If you still have some version of cable, or the TCM app, Turner Classic Movies has a couple of maybe interesting offerings on this weekend (only “maybe interesting” because I really know nothing about two of them).

Came across this killing time on the fantasticfiction site and, yes, according to the blurb it is The Shadow/Lamont Cranston.

Wonder if he will bring back any of the cast members from previous shows as regulars - would love to have Richard Brooks back, maybe even a couple of folks from Conviction.

(Cannot believe I know this but...) Katrina Law is joining the main or original or whatever NCIS show this coming season.

Couple of random thoughts (that really do not matter) -

Is the Guy Haley Richards & Klein book new or some type of re-release of earlier works? Thanks.

Thank you.

Re: “From” - can’t search from this computer, and not that it is unique story-wise, but wasn’t there a Fox (not sure that it was Fox) show a few years back with Toby Jones that had a similar set up (“normal” town that no one could leave plus surrounded by creatures)?

I could have sworn it was reported on io9 a couple of months back that he posted he was leaving at the end of this coming season? Thought the news the last couple of days was that he was going to be recurring or whatever if the show gets renewed for season 7 (8? Maybe 9?).

“This Solaris is Steven Soderbergh’s version of the classic 1972 sci-fi film by Andrei Tarkovsky (or his re-adaptation of the original 1961 novel by Stanisław Lem).”

Not sure how to ask this, phrase the question so it makes sense, but is this in reference to a specific vaccine? Asking because when all the older women I know got their two-part shots in February they were told about this (my mom’s mammogram was rescheduled because of it) and it was part of the news cycle. So just

For anyone worried that this will be terrible, fret not. The worst has already been released. Cannot find a short clip to post but just search for ‘G-Savior’, a live action Gundam movie from 1989 0r 1990.
