I do not watch the show but did watch the original. Trying to avoid a really old spoiler but couldn’t they just in some way use the ending of the original trilogy and continue with the other characters? Based on what a lot of folks write it sounds like the show could easily carry on based around Ms. Wright’s character.

For any other show I would agree, you are right, but in this case I just do not see NBC admitting they made any mistakes in hiring Ms. Kelly or giving her her own hour, even in a default way of openly changing the format of the show.
