With the exception of "Girl 6" Spike Lee's film usually range from OK to Fantastic. "Girl 6" was the worst. You need to watch "Do The Right Thing", "Malcolm X", "Inside Man," "Oldboy," and "25th Hour." Those are good movies.

Well, I've always felt that Elric was far more a critique of Conan than LOTR. But you've got a relationship with LOTR, it's important to realize that when Moorcock started out, basically every author aspired to be Tolkien - it's why the Shannara series is filled with Elves, wise wizards, etc.

I think the best way to think of Moorcock is that he's Fantasy's answer to Alan Moore.
