With the exception of "Girl 6" Spike Lee's film usually range from OK to Fantastic. "Girl 6" was the worst. You need to watch "Do The Right Thing", "Malcolm X", "Inside Man," "Oldboy," and "25th Hour." Those are good movies.

"That's no moon!... Oh. It is."
It's the title of the comic book that the show is based on.
I wouldn't even call this a lightsaber since it doesn't look like it's meant to be held with the blade ignited. I would call it a lightdrone or lightremote since it looks more meant to be force controlled remotely like he's doing in the image. A truly proficient Sith Lord might be able to control a lightdrone while…
Fine. But only because I already have a good cookbook holder that comes with a handy clear plastic window to hold the pages in place AND act as a splash guard. Just tryin' to look out for the other home cooks out there, geeeeeeeez.
Also good for cookbooks?
I don't think it was as much of an attack as it was "Hey, we don't have to all write the same thing. I am going to intentionally write these stories as differently as possible."
Yes ... you are wrong! And, if you haven't heard of Moorcock, you are not sufficiently well-informed to have such an opinion!
I'm not insulting you as a person, but your comment is absolutely ridiculous. Moorcock is a titan of fantasy writing in his own right, despite the fact that a personage such as yourself has never heard of him. I feel like he's completely w/in his rights to critique material that influenced him and every one of his…
There seems to be a preponderance of that sort of thing these days.
The Elric books, particularly the first consolidation into 6, are fantastic, though the subsequent ones ain't bad either. Michael (yes, we're on a first name basis) also began the series in the 60s, just as a point of fact, with The Stealer of Souls and Stormbringer, published by Lancer and edited by unsung Larry…
Well, I've always felt that Elric was far more a critique of Conan than LOTR. But you've got a relationship with LOTR, it's important to realize that when Moorcock started out, basically every author aspired to be Tolkien - it's why the Shannara series is filled with Elves, wise wizards, etc.
I think the best way to think of Moorcock is that he's Fantasy's answer to Alan Moore.

Pff. Kids today. Everyone who lived through the 80s knows what radical means...

Interesting bit of news. I wish Amazon had given Betas a season 2.
I always felt kind of bad that they didn't expand further on Giles' Ripper persona. In that respect I don't think that that flashback was really game changing. Alternately, if you consider all of Buffy where Wesley is in it, a flashback from Angel.....THEN THAT WORKS>
Say what you will about the recent Constantine show, after they brought up the Newcastle Incident I had to read up on it to see if there was anything more to that, and I've since wanted to read Swamp Thing and Hellblazer. Just finished reading the 'Casey' arc of Swamp Thing and am almost up to Alan Moore's run.
