Dunno about that. The internet has again begun to bore me so I've been reading the local police blotter while drinking my morning coffee (yes, I'm a fucking Old now, I wake up well before I have to be anywhere so I can read the news and drink coffee).
Valve Cover costume jewelry, Coil-on-plug setup for spark, Valve Cover/Crank-case pressure apparatus, Cylinder(HEMIIIUUGHRGHHH... bleh) Head+Head bolts, Push-rods ('Murica,) valve-train, pistons, Con-rods, fuel injectors, fuel rail, throttle body, supercharger inlet, supercharger twin-scroll roots compressor,…
Acceleration: Your complaint is about the 4-cylinder. Which has mixed 0-60 results from 8.5 to 9 seconds. Either way it's the I4. You're not buying a sports car. Quit crying about it being something it's not. It's the model meant to get 35mpg. It's not that it's lethargic, it's that it's geared to save you fuel.
Gauges…
Roads are, in fact, socialism. Actually, they are an imprecise mix of socialism and capitalism, but there is most assuredly some socialism in how they are funded, and how that is justified. The inception of the interstate system "for the greater good" is almost the definition of socialism.
What I love about the R8 is that it is so tractable as a daily driver. It is the only supercar that I could see my wife driving and not be intimidated by and I think that is a good thing.
It is not like you are flying the plane. Being able to see out the windows is rather pointless.
Infinitis are big and fat and ugly and have stupid names and no racing history and no business even existing.
Don't know why so many here dislike the ZF8 gearbox. Every review I have read or seen says it doesn't make sense to even use manual gearboxes on these modern day cars. The idea is to shift fast, and focus on the road/track.
Well, the Hellcat Charger came first.
I've driven a 7-series that reads speed signs. I've driven a Volvo V60 that reads speed signs and speed camera signs. The bloody Ford Focus can read speed signs. Please.
I think the Accord lines are a little classier, but that's just my opinion.
I actually agree with you on this one Ballaban... I have lived my whole 27 years on this planet in New Jersey, from the shore area to congested Bergen County and can say the issue is not what the LAWS say, but the enforcement of said laws. I too agree that speed limits are just recommendations, however, in certain…
Better idea, ban most cars completely. Driving around in NYC is a fool's errand. I have no idea why anyone chooses to do that in a real metro.
I have no doubt it's an awesome car but I get the impression that your fascination with it skewed your assessments. This is what it looked like in my mind reading the evaluation:
Travis gave it the same score for acceleration as a freakin Viper. The rating system is a joke.
While I'm in complete agreement with a lot of commenter's statements about not liking mark ups, I'm not sure Dodge can do much else. A lot of people have said things to the effect that Dodge should just tell dealerships they can't mark up the price. I do not have a thorough knowledge of the organizing group behind…
