LOL if you think ANYTHING involving telecommunications is a market-driven price.

I think the point is that SMS is preposterously expensive given how antiquated the technology is. A point you appear to have missed?

This video is private. Awesome.

U mad? Seriously, the vitriol in this article is astounding. Surprise, a Yahoo! article is dumb. Surprise, men have preferences that sometimes clash with reality. This isn't advancing any conversation t portrayal of women in media, it's not exposing anything new about male bias. It's just... whining.

I thought it had more to do with the non-lead solder melting under high temperatures?

Why put Windows on it? Unless you're gaming, I don't see the point. Mac OS is tits.

So there's no way to overwrite the firmware to make it do... something?

That's just a domain squatter placeholder site.

First generation Xbox 360. When it came out, all of my friends and I got one, and all of the red ringed. We used to call it the BrickBox 3-Bricky. Now that they've worked out all the hardware kinks (particularly with the newer, smaller version), it's a pretty good system, terrible Kinect interface notwithstanding.

So... what does it do now?

I take it you're an early adopter?

I dunno, that company TCL is one of those bottom-of-the-barrel priced companies, but the display quality is great. They just skimped on every other possible feature. Of course, if you have a home theater system and accompanying universal remote, it's the perfect TV since you won't use any of the missing features

This is the correct answer. Impulse buyers practically deserve every bad experience they get.

Wow, I almost bought one of these. Ended up spending the $$$ on a MacBook Pro instead. Guess I made the right decision.

Using the new toolbar thing doesn't line the icons up right. Which is mind-boggling.

We were all geniuses when DOS was what we used—most people didn't have computers. Now that everybody has one, that includes the idiots. And since idiots make up the majority of the population, well...

I'd disagree. The vast majority of users, which is to say non-power-users, will probably find the additional, larger icons much more intuitive.

Well, good. It's disgusting. It's also upsetting to see all the pretty girls smoking on the beach, unaware or uninterested that they're helping turn their skin to leather.

I'm not talking about under-the-hood quality, and I'm not fanboying. MS has done an awsome job with their new security and driver models, among others. Amd thank god they've almost fully abandoned COM. I'm a .NET developer myself, and I'll probably install Win8 from MSDN as soon as there's time. All I'm speaking about
