Also having adoption as an option versus abortion is so so disingenuous. People counseled that to me when I was planning to have an abortion- I was like “I don’t want to be pregnant- adoption would not be a solution” 

The other part of the right wing narrative is “Look, these foolish government workers haven’t even bothered to save at least a month’s pay for emergencies!” and “No part of the shutdown has affected me in Bumfuck, Arkansas, so clearly we don’t need the government anyway.”
