Actually, they all have problems. The difference is they’re more risk averse so they are more careful on how they plan/design things to address the problems or avoid them altogether.

One partition for the OS - the 80 Gbs -is a clever partition decision I am making for around 20 years now.

And the way it’s been done since Corvus Disk System introduced 5 mb HDD partition integration, circa 1981. (This includes the Atari 800 external @$1500.) Then implemented later internalized in IBM PC XT 10 mb HDD ~1983.

FTFY. The MacBook Pro people wish Apple would make would be more powerful, have a bigger battery, a bigger screen (remember how awesome the 17" MBPs were?!), still have an SD card slot and Thunderbolt ports... you know something for “professionals” to use for video and photo editing.

Sharpie works great on mine.

One small quirk that I don’t quite get is that by default—the X Pro’s SSD came formatted into two partitions: a smaller 80GB section and a larger 380 GB division.

That is not at all the MacBook Pro I want...

Back in the “old days” (‘94 or ‘95) Bezos sent me a thank you note and coffee mug for ordering so many books off the early Amazon. He doesn’t do that any more either.

Happened for me this week. Ordered item Friday afternoon. Was told to expect Sunday delivery. It showed up midday Saturday.

This article is 570 words long and involves 3,152 characters (2,591 if you remove the spaces). The headline’s question: What Amazon Prime’s ‘Two-Day Shipping’ Really Means is answered in... 17 words (93 characters, no spaces).

Just about every package we order from Amazon (which is a lot to be honest...clothing, shoes, electronics, food, cleaning supplies, even car parts) comes the next day. The weird one-off or custom things take a bit longer to ship sometimes, but its usually there one day after its marked as shipping.

I live very close to a warehouse and would get “super saver shipping” delivered in just a couple of days. Now they fail to miss the mark on Two Day shipping all the time. They clearly don’t prioritize that part of the business anymore.

It happened to my husband last night. He ordered a new phone on Sunday and it was waiting for him last night when it was originally showing it was going to be delivered today. I’m guessing it was delivered by laser ship since they always leave stuff next to our garage door instead of the front door.

It is a serious omission.

Am engineer, can confirm, math checks out.

Hey everybody! Say hi to Elizabeth! She’ll be helping out on the weekend shift covering F1 and other fun things, and may be sticking around for more. Please give her a warm welcome.

You cannot imagine how amused I am you saw something I didn’t, based upon usernames.
