@dallasmay: No, this wasn't what people were scared of. I'm waiting to see if costs for existing policies and medical costs skyrocket like we were told would happen.

C'mon guys, they're hermits, not Amish.

Not a bad price on the video card, but it is only 512MB. You can get a comparably priced 1GB card that supports Crossfire for about the same.

@TSmith: It's one thing for a company to discriminate based on race and you're right, one cannot do that. But Apple isn't discriminating against anyone in particular - at least not by race, gender, sexual orientation, etc (people who like erotic novels aren't protected by the Constitution). They're taking a morale

I've got no problem with this censorship. It's Apple's store and they can do whatever the hell they want with it. You guys whining about how this is BS could show Apple your dissatisfaction by censoring their products - but you know you won't. You will continue buying Apple's glorified, polished, overpriced gadgetry

@Bella_Bellini: And yet, you will still continue to buy Apple products, though not from the bookstore. Steve Jobs just laughs maniacally.

Are you sure it's not anal leakage?

Isn't character all about customization these days? What's the point of a gadget having character if everyone and their dog owns the same thing? What happened to individuality and originality? Your page is stocked with stories of people with original visions. The daft punk helmet, for example. That's a great piece of

@teknoboy66: It's too bad they didn't offer free devices or even half-off the cost when you make a qualifying "green" or energy saving update to your home. Incentives, you know?

Yoda says: Time it is to buy some Intel stock, yes? Hmmm?

@Paul Chabot: stReak, not steak. Though that does look yummy and functional all at once.

@TSmith: And miss the invasion of extra-dimensional beings in a time loop? Push that button!

@LukeDukem: How about an understanding of a record unemployment rate and an economy struggling to recover right now? Put that up against a $41,000 and economics will win every time - especially since I can go out and buy a Prius for less money or heck, even a new Ford Fiesta which gets 30 mpg in the city, 40 on the

Wayyyy too expensive. The Nissan Leaf (with the tax credit) costs $25,280. Plus, it's not a Government Motors vehicle.

@b33g33: My point exactly. That makes this a niche product.

@Piledriver: Hummmm. You have a point there.

@b33g33: Not too bad? It's a rip off! You can get a 27" 1080p Viewsonic LCD TV which takes HDMI for only $400! Are you really going to notice a difference betwee 1080p and 1440p? But people will pay this because it's got the magical Apple logo on it and Jobs' personal blessing. ([www.nextag.com]

It's still a tablet. Netbooks can do everything this can and more for less money. And they aren't that much bigger.

@Reginald Atkins: How many years did Seinfeld last? The show that was about nothing had no point and yet people loved it. Twitter is no different. Pointless, mindless nosiness at its best.

Just a correction to the article - making it not illegal doesn't mean an individual can't be sued, it means they cannot be criminally prosecuted for jailbreaking. Developers who insist on breaking the rules set by companies like Apple can STILL BE SUED for monetary damages if the company can prove that the
